After I watched The Secret, I decided to focus on something I wanted to test the law of attraction with, like the red bike in the movie. At the time, my job was incredibly stressful, and I hated it. One day, I called in sick to work and was just lounging around the house when I realized that money should flow into my life easily and unexpectedly.

I had two things working in my favor: my desire was very strong, and the movie I had watched was so compelling that I genuinely believed it was possible for me.

Interestingly, my mother had recently sold her house, and she sold it to someone my husband grew up with. That guy ended up calling my husband later that same day to say, “I think your wife just received a check in the mail. It is here at the house.”

I went to go get it, and to my surprise, there was indeed a check for $3,000 that had been mailed to the house I grew up in, waiting for me.
