My daughter shows goats in 4-H and FFA, and I had my heart set on one particular goat placing in the top five of her class. For weeks leading up to our state fair, I would set a timer for two minutes during my commutes to work and talk about how wonderful this goat was and how I envisioned her placing in the top five. I kept this positive affirmation going throughout the day, repeating it on my way home from work. I truly felt a deep love for this goat.

When the weekend of the show arrived, I saw many impressive goats, but I remained focused and genuinely believed that my goat would make it into the top five. And guess what? She placed third in her class! I was beyond thrilled.
