It is a pleasure to be sharing my story here on The Secret website because, honestly, this is where it all began. I myself learned about The Secret four years ago while getting over my first relationship. I reread the book at least ten times before The Power came out, then The Magic, and now I have just finished reading Hero! These books changed my life in so many ways. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I started reading The Secret stories whenever I was having a bad day for a reminder and pick me up. They really helped. One day, I came across Sammi’s story. She was writing about how The Secret impacted her life and helped her realize her dream of working with makeup and started her own business doing so. I, who am a hairdresser, about the same age, related extremely well to her story and felt compelled to reach out to her. I actually was able to find her on Facebook, so I decided to message her. And what happened from there is simply amazing!!!

It felt like we instantly connected. We communicated using Skype then followed that up by texting. I could not believe I related so well to someone I had never even met before. We had so many shared interests, lived our lives by The Secret and the law of attraction, wrote in gratitude journals, loved hair and makeup, fashion, health, and fitness. And to top it all off, we only lived three hours apart!!!

Together, we wanted to inspire others through the web, so we created “The Love Style Guide,” a website and YouTube channel featuring hair and makeup and advice on feeling your absolute best. We would film separately, and then we would edit and share the videos publicly.

Then the craziest thing happened: we got a chance to meet!!! The first time was absolutely amazing. I felt we got along so well in person and became even better friends!! We filmed some videos together for YouTube and hit it off completely. I met some of her family and friends and felt so welcomed. I can say I found and met amazing people due to this experience!

It was one of the best highlights of my year, and I have you, Rhonda, and The Secret team to thank because if it wasn’t for your stories on here for people to read when they need inspiration, I would have never met nor found Sammy’s story. Together we remain in daily contact and still work together on building The Love Style Guide and have since met again.
