Gift Of Gratitude.
Submitted by: Joanne Smelter
Western AustraliaI am a 58 year old single woman. Mother to one son, Jimmy. I work as a bus driver on the mines in Western Australia.
Two years ago, my son Jimmy tried to take his own life. He carried with him deep pain from years of cruel abuse at the hands of his narcissistic father. Having learning difficulties, he struggled to cope within the school system, and his father’s relentless criticism and emotional torment created many soul-destroying memories. These experiences followed him into adulthood, making it difficult for him to find stability or confidence in work or life.
At twenty-eight, the weight of his depression became unbearable, and he attempted to end his life. Thankfully, his housemate found him in time — in a bathtub of blood, barely breathing, and rendered lifesaving assistance. It was a devastating moment that changed everything.
Over the past two years, through therapy, medication, and unwavering love, Jimmy has been slowly rebuilding himself. It has been a journey filled with ups and downs, but one incredible turning point came when I discovered The Secret. From the moment I watched it, I knew in my heart it could help him.
Today, Jimmy watches The Secret almost every day and also follows Bob Proctor’s teachings with deep dedication. Through these lessons, he has released the anger and hate that once poisoned his soul. He has learned forgiveness, gratitude, and belief in himself, gifts that words can never fully describe.
To Rhonda, the work you have brought into this world has changed not only my son’s life but mine as well. You have given us light where once there was darkness. You have helped us understand that healing begins within, and that love and gratitude truly can transform pain into peace.
As a small token of my appreciation, I have written a song for you. It is my way of saying thank you for helping to save my son’s life. Because I don’t have the gift of singing, I used AI to give my words a voice. But the love behind it is entirely real. With heartfelt blessings and eternal gratitude to you and your wonderful team, who continue to share love and hope throughout the world.
With all my love,

Gifts You Can’t Buy
Lyrics
Verse 1]
When you open your eyes do you see
The best gifts we receive are free
A magical smile can shift
A bad day or a rift
And a hug can give new hope to your soul
[Chorus, Bright and uplifting]Love is the treasure; it never runs dry
Moments together are reasons to fly
Laughter and kindness, they carry us high
The gifts we can’t buy, the gifts we can’t buy
[Verse 2]A gentle word lights up the dark
A memory leaves a shining mark
The touch of a hand in need
Can plant the softest seed
And grow into comfort, healing, and peace
[Chorus, with harmony backing vocals]Love is the treasure; it never runs dry
Moments together are reasons to fly
Laughter and kindness, they carry us high
The gifts we can’t buy, the gifts we can’t buy
[Bridge, Emotional rise]No golden crown, no diamond stone
Could match the warmth of being known
Every heartbeat shared is true
A priceless gift between me and you
[Chorus, Full and joyful]Love is the treasure; it never runs dry
Moments together are reasons to fly
Laughter and kindness, they carry us high
The gifts we can’t buy, the gifts we can’t buy
[Outro, Gentle guitar fade]The gifts we can’t buy
The gifts we can’t buy
