When I was younger, I attended a summer camp for two weeks. On the bus ride there, I saw this beautiful boy whom I felt I needed in my life. I became obsessed with him, constantly chasing after him and getting frustrated when he showed no interest in me. This obsession lasted for a year, and I received only the slightest bit of attention from him.<\/p>\n

The following summer camp was in July, but around April of that year, I discovered the concept of manifesting through the book The Secret<\/a>. I decided I wanted to manifest him as my boyfriend during the summer camp. I got a notebook and a pen and wrote, \u201cSpecific person will be my boyfriend at summer camp in 2019.\u201d As I started believing, I began noticing small signs here and there, but I was still chasing him rather than attracting him. In an effort to detach, I even blocked him on all social media.<\/p>\n

At summer camp, we couldn’t stay away from each other until he started dating someone else. I told myself I wouldn’t spend another year obsessing over a boy; I was going to enjoy my time there. As soon as my energy shifted, he broke up with his girlfriend and told me he wanted to kiss me. When he walked me home every night, it felt exactly like my visualizations. I realized it was my energy that attracted more positive experiences because I had trusted for months that the universe would bring him to me, and it did.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
