As a result of the patriots day flood, we had to leave our house for over a week. I work at a motel right on the beach, and my boss was kind enough to let us stay at the motel free of charge. <\/p>\n
Each morning I would wake up early to watch the sun rise, then do a meditation, then read a book for a few hours before starting work. One morning as I was sitting reading, a lady walked by me and we exchanged a little small talk about the weather. I decided I wanted to sit in a different spot after a while… plus I wanted to grab another cup of coffee. As I was walking to another spot to sit I looked down to see a heart shaped rock right in front of me. The second I picked up the rock I saw a vision of the lady that I had the small talk with…. then I had the thought come to me, “This rock does not belong to you, it belongs to her.” I always listen to that still small voice within, so I sat down and started to read, knowing that everything will work out. <\/p>\n
About ten minutes later, the lady came walking by me and stopped and commented that she had just finished the third book in the series that I was reading (the Heritage of Lancaster County by Beverly Lewis). I held the rock out and said, “Look what I just found.” She said, “It’s beautiful,” and then I said, “It’s yours.” She had another rock in her hand and threw it down quickly and took the heart-shaped rock and kept on thanking me. Then she left. <\/p>\n
I just sat there thinking how good I felt for making her happy. Then I found out how much the rock meant to her… about ten minutes after she had left with the rock she came back with tears in her eyes, and said, “I just needed to come back and tell you how much that rock means to me… you see, I lost my husband three years ago today, and I really miss him and I feel like he wanted me to know that he is with me still.” Well, I tell you, I was in tears… then I understood why that rock needed to go to her. <\/p>\n
But this isn’t the end of the story. You see, the next morning I was sitting on the beach reading and I stopped reading to think about the happenings of the morning before, and feeling so full of gratitude that I could be a part of her happiness, and thinking of the synchronicity. Then I thought I would love to find a rock that is shaped like a pyramid… And guess what, right after I thought that thought I looked down at the rocks, and right in front of me I saw a rock that was triangle shaped. It took my breath away. I said could it really be…. and as I picked it up and turned it over it was a PERFECT 2 inch pyramid! I held it up to the sky and said thank you. I realized it was my gift for listening to that still small voice within. <\/p>\n
I feel blessed! I know that when you do good to someone it comes back to you tenfold! The Secret has really transformed my life… I am filled with positive thoughts and gratitude now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
