3 years ago, I was really unsatisfied with my love life and was a bit depressed about it. One day, one of my friend suggested writing a list of all the things I was looking for in a man. I thought that was silly. I laughed at the idea of ordering\u009d the man of my dreams. <\/p>\n
I did it for fun, out of curiosity. I ended up writing 85 things on my list! I felt ridiculous! ;o)<\/p>\n
Some things were really important: “He must be affectionate, kind, smart, cultivated, funny, he must be positive in life, be open-minded” some things were not really important but corresponded to stuff I liked: he must be a hockey fan (especially a HABS fan!), he must like dogs, he must like karaoke\u009d. <\/p>\n
I read the list and kept it around for a few days, wondering if this man truly existed somewhere, then I put the list away and forgot about it. <\/p>\n
One day I was really bored and registered on an online dating site. I stopped at the 3rd picture I saw. That was him; the guy I was looking for. I realize how cliche I sound in saying this but something happened when I saw that guy’s picture. I read his profile and I totally flipped! After the first few messages we sent to each other, I knew that that we connected on a level I had never connected with anybody before. We spoke on the phone for months before I agreed to meet with him in person. When I finally did, it was the most wonderful date ever!! We felt like we had known each other for years. Then I clicked; I realized what had happened. It was him!!!! I know it sounds silly but it really was the man of my list! That handsome, wonderful man is the man I wished for\u009d! <\/p>\n
3 months later, we purchased our first home. A year later, we are getting married ( May 2007)! <\/p>\n
