My 11 year old daughter loves robotic engineering and builds with robotics kits. Her father and I bought her a robotic kit over a year ago that was approx. $200. <\/p>\n
The set was recently upgraded to be current with new technology and the new set is $300. She asked for this set back in Dec. of 2006. I told her that if she got straight a’s all school year, I’d upgrade the set for her to the new one. <\/p>\n
2Weeks ago (early Feb 07) we watched The Secret for the very first time as a family. The next night, I brought home vision board supplies for everyone to make their vision boards. <\/p>\n
My daughter put that new robotics set on her vision board that same night. <\/p>\n
The VERY NEXT NIGHT, my boyfriend visited and became very inquisitive with my daughter about how her robotics were coming along. He poked and prodded and picked at her about her interest in robotics until she and I both were unsure where it was all coming from. <\/p>\n
Finally, she non-chalantly mentioned that she was planning to get a new robotics set eventually and before she and I could realize what was happening, he’d opened up his laptop, told her to go to the website and show him the set and he proceeded to order the $300 set right then and there on the spot. <\/p>\n
This wasn’t something he and I had discussed at all. He had no idea I’d told her I would buy it if she got all a’s. He didn’t even know she wanted it until he poked her and prodded her and she finally mentioned it. He was operating as if he had an intuitive need to give this gift to her. <\/p>\n
She put that set on her vision board with an inner knowing that she was well on her way to earning that set at the end of the school year (she’d already been getting straight a’s all year). <\/p>\n
She knew it was coming, but the universe surprised us both by delivering it to her early and from an unexpected source!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
