It’s funny when I look back on my past; I really had an open mind. I just did not know how to use it. Growing up in semi-poverty, ever since I was a child, my mother always told me to do what I love, live my dreams, and make everything I can possible. That much I knew, but what I always thought is that bad things just happen and that bad things are a part of life. So, as the law of attraction states, that is exactly what happened. Car accidents, bad friendships, low self-esteem, depression, almost committing suicide, problems with the opposite sex, you name it, I probably went through it regardless of what my mother taught me to believe.<\/p>\n

Although I did overcome certain things in my life, I still struggled with low self-esteem. Getting mentally abused by my mother’s second husband as a kid was a huge factor in that. So, throughout my three years of community college, I never dated, rarely went out, tried to work on my music career, and just went to work after all of that. I knew deep down inside that something was never right. That is until I decided to move to Orlando to go to Full Sail University to pursue my career and passion in recording music.<\/p>\n

While down here, I met a girl who I never thought would ever change my life since I was still dealing with depression and low self-esteem. And the fact that I was still a virgin at 22 years old was not helping. After months of on and off talking, we became closer. A few things I did scare her off but she kept coming back.<\/p>\n

Then, one night at my apartment, we were having wine and just talking. She then said, “My life feels totally different now because of all the things I have been doing.” I was like, “Oh yeah? How’s that?” She then asked me, “Have you ever heard of The Secret<\/a>?” I replied, “The Secret? What Secret?” She laughed and told me, “No, there’s a movie called The Secret.” So out of curiosity I asked her if it was on Netflix, which she said yes, then I remember watching snippets and thought it was some Christian religious thing so I avoided. When she let me know that it had nothing to do with all of that, my interest was then rising, and I said, “Ok, I have to watch it now.” I don’t know why or what made me think it, it just felt right.<\/p>\n

After walking her home, I kissed her goodbye and walked back to my place. The next day, I found The Secret on Netflix. I watched it, and to my surprise, it made sense. It all made sense now! My existence, my mission in life, my dreams, my goals, my “struggles,” my whole life made sense!<\/p>\n

Since watching The Secret, I have forever been changed. Although I have to get better at applying it, I feel better about my health, my money, my education, my career choice, and my relationship with that beautiful girl whom I cherish. If it were not for The Secret and my understanding of the law of attraction, I would still be in a dark place in my life. For this, I am forever thankful, and I will never look back!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
