You might just say that I was in denial, but I never felt attractive or beautiful. I tried to be, but it seemed I never attracted the people I really liked to be with. I had a great deal of insecurity, so I pretended to be someone I was not or tried to compensate by dressing provocatively. My life had been in shambles, especially financially, and just last year was the peak point of my depression. Ms. Rhonda’s story was my story as well. When the collectors hounded and harassed me every hour, every day, I totally felt like I was at rock bottom.<\/p>\n

Then on August 19, my boss gave me the book The Secret<\/a>. I thought to myself, “What the heck?” But as I read the book, I suddenly realized something. No wonder that for years and years, I kept attracting bad luck and never got out of the trashy life I had. Well, that was the old me! Now I have been reborn.<\/p>\n

I would like to share this story about feeling beautiful and attractive.<\/p>\n

When I started doing what was asked of me, it became a part of me. I started telling myself, “I am beautiful and attractive.” I also started having someone sew clothes for me based on my taste. Slowly, I was getting noticed; even my bosses remarked that I was now a fashionista. Parents and students alike noticed me. I even studied how to put on makeup, but I just got a little notice, it was not consistent.<\/p>\n

But now, I feel beautiful and attractive, and even the simplest way I put on makeup gets noticed. Flawless, as I would describe it. Then, just last week, for the first time ever in my life, I was stopped by someone I did not know who said, “I just wanted to commend you on how you dress! Please do not get embarrassed because I just want to get it off my chest. You really always look fantastic!” I said thank you and appreciated her commendation! It lifted my spirit all the more. I was actually wearing some of my old clothes that I had never been noticed in before, so I was really surprised that suddenly I was being complimented on how beautiful my dresses were.<\/p>\n

I always say thank you every day! I have a long way to go, especially with my finances, but positive thinking is putting me on the right path. For the first time ever, I feel beautiful and attractive, and others are my living testimony to it.<\/p>\n
