I have been using the Secret for all of my life (I suppose we all have) but I was doing it unconciously. Until just recently! It took frustration and anger to finally push me to say, enough is enough. I was working as a weekend anchor at a news radio station in Miami. But I was really unhappy. I wasn’t making enough money, I was driving two hours a day to and from work, and I was passed up for promotion three times for people with far less experience. I had to get out and fast. So one night, while at work, I sat down and wrote out exactly what I must have in a job, in salary, and lifestyle. And I emphasized the fact that I will accept nothing less than these desires. I wrote down the broadcasting job of my dreams. I saw myself in management and as a teacher of sorts. I saw a salary that was three times larger. I saw myself living in a place where I could go back to school to study for my Masters. The next day I found a job for a news director position at the University of Florida. I would lead a newsroom made up of students (hence I became a sort of professor) and I would be able to go to graduate school for FREE! I was given a salary that was exactly what I asked for. Now that was the easy part. For the next four months I would wake up every morning and write down my desires in the present tense. And every night when I would go for my walk I would think about my new job, new salary, and new life as if it was already here. One early morning I got a call and I immediately knew that it was the job offer before I even picked up the phone. The best part of the story is that ever since, I have been purposefully working to master the laws of attraction, I want to master the Secret. And heck, now I am asking for more money, more success, and more happiness. I guess I needed to get to the point where enough is enough to finally take charge of my destiny.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
