I was at the Delhi airport getting ready to take a flight to Bangalore. On the way to the airport, while sitting in a cab, I looked at my wrist and saw that I had not put my watch on. I had kept my watch in my purse. It was my favorite watch, and it was precious to me because my husband had gifted it to me when we were to get married. I also just love the way it looks! However, its leather strap had developed some cracks, which I thought would be able to last for a little longer before I would need to replace it. So, I thought I could safely wear it, and I strapped it on my wrist.<\/p>\n
So we arrived at the airport, checked in, and later headed for the security checkpoint. During this time, I was not aware if the watch was actually on my wrist. Later, when we settled down in the waiting area, I suddenly realized it was not on my wrist. I had lost my watch!<\/p>\n
I hurriedly checked all my cabin baggage, looked under the seat, and then went back to the washroom to search for it, but to no avail! My husband asked me to wait while he went to the information counter to enquire about how we could get back lost stuff. However, the guy at the information counter was completely indifferent to our request. My hubby returned saying it was no use searching for a small watch that had been lost at a big airport!<\/p>\n
Still, I was determined to get it back as it was very precious to me. I asked my hubby to wait for two minutes. I took my daughter and rushed to the information counter again. I asked him if he could not help, then who should I ask? He directed me to the security staff for the security check. I rushed to the security counter and asked two personnel for help. They were eager to help and directed me to their boss, who was sitting at a distance. I went to him, explained my situation, and informed him about my flight and phone number details. He said if my watch was found, they would contact me.<\/p>\n
Right then, my hubby came rushing to me because it was almost time to board the flight. I asked him to wait just two more minutes. Meanwhile, I told myself, ‘I will find my watch today!’ I also made a request to the Universe in my heart, ‘Universe, I want my watch back right now!’ And to my surprise, actually more to my husband’s surprise because I have immense faith in the Universe, we got a call from the security head saying they had found the watch. We rushed to the counter to get it back and thanked them.<\/p>\n
The watch dial was approximately 1 inch by 1 inch, and the strap was completely closed, so I have no idea how it fell off! The watch could have been lost anywhere, crushed under a trolley, or mistakenly kicked around by fellow passengers walking around the airport. But it was found and returned to me! And that’s what gave me a chance to reveal the beautiful Secret of the Universe to my husband, too!<\/p>\n
