I quit my job as a dental nurse in February without having another job lined up, which wasn’t the best decision. I felt that I deserved and wanted better.<\/p>\n
The first month of unemployment was okay because I had some money saved up, but then things started to get difficult. I realized that I no longer wanted to work in dentistry after 8 years, and I was feeling depressed.<\/p>\n
By June, I still hadn’t found a job and was starting to panic. I thought that I was applying the law of attraction, but I wasn’t seeing any results. I was also not eligible for government assistance because I had left my job voluntarily. I had bills to pay, and I felt like I had put myself in a tough spot. To make things worse, I felt like some people were happy to see me struggling, especially those from my old workplace. I was feeling really low and didn’t know how to go on without any income.<\/p>\n
I revisited the concept of the law of attraction and realized that my visualizations and thoughts were missing something important, emotions. I read that it’s helpful to get into a positive emotional state and visualize for at least 16 seconds, and to use binaural beats. So, I started watching something that made me laugh and then visualized myself getting a job, really feeling happy, and even smiling. I did this every morning and night for about a week, and then something unexpected happened.<\/p>\n
One day, I had a job interview with a company that I had visualized, and things went exactly how I had hoped, which was surprising for me because I was used to expecting the worst. The interview itself only lasted 15 minutes, but we ended up talking for over an hour about everything except the job. I left feeling really positive about it, and then, not long after, a friend called and asked if I could start a trial at her workplace that same day. Even though I was desperate for a job, I didn’t want to go back to dentistry, and I was hoping to hear back about the job I had just interviewed for. I went home feeling happy and surprised.<\/p>\n
Shortly after, I received a phone call saying that an online business and administration course that I wanted to take was now available to me for free. The course had originally cost \u00a3900, but they offered it to me for free as an apology for the delays and frustrations I had experienced. I was ecstatic because it was a way for me to transition out of dentistry. Not long after that, I also received a text from the job center asking me to come in for an interview. I had almost given up, but suddenly everything was falling into place. Thank you, thank you, thank you!<\/p>\n
To make a long story short, I got the job on the same day as the interview, even though they still had over 100 people to interview. They felt that I was perfect for the job and offered me my desired salary along with a free gym pass. I cried tears of joy when I got off the phone; the 5 months of depression had disappeared in an instant.<\/p>\n
