For the past few years, life has been flowing fairly nicely. I have been blessed with a wonderful man and good friends, and I am slowly fixing up my home.<\/p>\n
The one major, ongoing problem was my job. My boss broke me, and I hated my job with a passion. So I found another job, and naturally it was even worse! I found myself another job, searching yet again, and was having an absolute day from hell when my boss walked in and fired me without warning. Even though I knew I had attracted the situation, I was shattered. Who was I without my job?<\/p>\n
Several times over the course of a month, I made it to the short list of candidates for very good jobs, but each time, I failed at the last moment. The worst part was that I did not know why.<\/p>\n
I lost all hope. I hit rock bottom. I actually decided on the date that I planned to take my own life.<\/p>\n
A few days ago, I read something related. I don’t even remember what it was, but I decided that since I only had a matter of days left to live, I may as well be as happy as I could be for that time.<\/p>\n
Out of the blue, I had a wild hunch that I should apply again for my dream job. I had already had one interview, so I knew my boss’s name and face. I even put their number in my phone under the name “Boss.”<\/p>\n
Today while I was waiting for another interview with that same person, a stranger walked up to me, looked deeply into my eyes, and said: “Have a lovely day.”<\/p>\n
A few minutes later, I walked into the interview and left with a new career and a fantastic, supportive new boss. Thank you, thank you, thank you!<\/p>\n
So thank you so very much again, Rhonda, for being the catalyst for my hope, and thank you to the stranger who blessed me when I needed it most.<\/p>\n
I started my new job on the day I had planned to end my life.<\/p>\n
