So I came across The Secret and was instantly hooked. I bought The Secret book, watched The Secret film, and read anything I could on it. I then bought a pen and notebook and just started writing down what I was grateful for every day: “I am happy now that …”, “I am grateful for…”

I am going through a tough time just now. I am homeless with my kids and trying to get back on track since my landlord had to sell his house due to his bad health. So I thought, OK, I will turn things into a positive and focus on getting my driving license so I can have more freedom for myself and my kids. I booked my theory test and started lessons only two and a half months ago. Then, I booked my driving test. I wanted to be able to take the test sooner, so I asked the Universe and sent out my thoughts, hoping to get an earlier appointment from someone who had canceled.

Then I got a notification that there was an open spot earlier, so I booked it. I sat down with peace and quiet and wrote on my notepad, thanking the Universe for my new license and new car. Then I asked for a sign to see a Robin for that day to show me I would get what I asked for. I did not specify how I would see it, even seeing a robin sticker on a tie, just any form of a robin.

As I was walking to work, feeling grateful and thinking my thoughts, I decided to go a different way that morning as the weather was nice and dry. As I was crossing the road, I heard this ‘chirp chirp’ clear as day, and right above me was a robin!! It was just sitting on a branch! I could not believe it! I just had this wave of instant gratitude, so I thanked the Universe out loud and went to work with a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

My test was that afternoon, and I passed it with a high score. I was on a high that entire night!! I still am today.

The Universe has just shown me the sign that I asked for, that I was wanting and needing. Now I am sitting here with my pen and paper and thanking the Universe for my nice new home for me and the kids.
