I came across The Secret at a bookstore years ago. Unfortunately, due to some personal problems, I had to leave behind numerous books, including The Secret. Later, I downloaded a digital version, which I stored on a pen drive.

I was born into a family that cared little for me. Even when my parents decided to build a separate residence, the problems persisted. I was hated for everything under the sun. My parents berated me for all my faults, from my weight to my studies; if they did decide to gift me something expensive, I was expected to be in gratitude forever.

My teenage years passed painfully, followed by my 20s. I’m 26 at present. I fell in love with a man who was deemed unsuitable for me by my parents. Despite my parents’ putting hurdles in my path, our long-distance relationship has been strong for six years.

Last year, I decided to open an account on Twitter. Later, I started playing in numerous contests. My first gift was an Oriflame gift hamper. I did not win many contests, but the ones that I won made me realize that positivity is contagious. When I make up my mind to win something, the entire Universe helps me achieve it, no matter the hurdles I face.

I saw The Magic on The Secret’s website. I love books, but my parents disliked getting any fictional books for me. However, in a contest on Twitter, I had the opportunity to select a book that the contest holders would mail me. I named two books, one of which was The Magic and the other, The Power. I sincerely hoped to win and get either of them. Imagine my happiness when I received The Magic as the contest gift. It renewed my faith in the Universe since, as a student dependent on my parent’s income, it was unthinkable to beg them for the book.

I hope to win more contests. I dream of buying a car that I can drive myself and also owning a tablet PC. I also want to have the job of my choice and marry the man of my dreams.
