First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Rhonda for guiding me through this challenging time and for sharing uplifting stories here on this site, that have helped me stay positive.

My boyfriend and I were together for 13 months, and for most of that time, everything was perfect. We rarely argued and never lost the spark between us. However, I became consumed by negativity during a stressful and difficult period in my life, which began to affect our relationship. This negativity eventually became too much for my boyfriend to handle, and he broke up with me.

After that, I begged, pleaded, and cried every day. I sent him more texts than I care to count. He tried to reply and to hear me out and go out with me, but I was a wreck. I ruined all of the chances I had. I thought there was no hope as I had done everything I should not have done.

I posted my relationship problems on a forum and asked if there was any hope for me and this guy, because I truly loved him. Someone on the forum sent me information about The Secret and emailed me images of pages from the book. After reading them, I decided to purchase my own copy and watch The Secret. Initially, I was skeptical because I wasn’t much of a believer in many things, but I loved this guy so much that I was willing to try anything.

I cut off all contact and spent a week doing nothing but focusing on self-healing. I read my favorite chapters of the book over and over, created my vision board, and did the usual things, such as pretending that he was with me. I spoke to him regularly in my head, made room for him in my house, and constantly told myself that he would be back and all the fun stuff we would do when he returned.

I decided to test a theory by thinking positively about making all the lights green lights while driving. Surprisingly, I managed to make every single one, except for the last one, which I only made because a car pulled off into a bus lane. I then set a condition for myself that if my boyfriend came online on Skype or Steam, I would take it as a sign. Instead, he activated his Facebook again, and I chose to take this as a sign. Later, while I was out, I saw many things that made me think of him.

After 6 days of no contact, I felt like it was the right time to reach out. I sent him a picture of one of the signs and told him it made me think of him. He replied positively. We talked for a while, and then he confessed that he missed me. He had been holed up in his room, avoiding everyone because of it.

We have decided to start going out again. I see it as a fresh start. For it to be successful, we need to be clear on everything and slowly rebuild the foundations of our relationship. It’s going to be fun and exciting! The Secret works, but you need to be positive with every ounce of your body. Good luck and thank you!
