I found myself in a situation where, due to a number of reasons, things were a bit stretched financially. Then an unexpected bill came in that needed to be paid, so I found myself overstretched. If I didn’t source some extra cash, I’d be unable to pay all my monthly bills.

Initially, I panicked, got angry about my situation, and kept thinking about everything that could go wrong if I couldn’t pay on time.

After a few deep breaths, I had a bit of a lightbulb moment! I thought back to everything I had learnt about gratitude when I read Rhonda Byrne’s book The Magic. I also remembered Deepak Chopra’s advice in his book “Creating Affluence”. He suggested asking the question “How can I help?”

So as I stood in my kitchen, took another deep breath, and looked around me, feeling grateful for everything I laid my eyes on. My food, my water, my appliances, my utensils, the contents of my cupboards, the contents of my fridge, the electricity running my appliances – the list went on and on. I felt gratitude for my health and positivity, and genuinely felt my mood lift. I then said very clearly in my mind the words “How can I help today?” and then went about my tasks, feeling much more optimistic that everything was working out just fine for me.

Thirty minutes later, I had a call from my boss asking if I could take on some extra hours at work to cover for a colleague who needed to take some time off for a short while. It was the perfect resolution for my tricky situation! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Another part of The Secret that I found to touch me before reading the book was the placebo effect. This started as far back as I can remember, when I was young, around the ages of 3 to 4. I was told I had a stigmatism in my left eye, so they put a patch on my eye. Then, they had me wear eyeglasses during my childhood. When I entered my teenage years, I started to distance myself from the idea that my eyes were bad. So, I started living as if I had a perfect vision. Every time my mother would get on me about wearing my contacts, I would respond by saying that I have perfect vision or that my eyes are better than ever.

I was 14 when I stopped thinking I had bad eyesight. As the years passed by, and through circumstances and a new thought process, everything started to fall into place. A few months ago, I found myself at a job, one that some would say was out of my league after I had received the job. They sent me for a physical to make sure I was up to par for the job and the duties I had to do. During the physical, they said I would need to take an eye exam. As I stood at the doorway, the nurse was at the end of the hall; She asked me to read the smallest row of letters I could see, so I scrolled down and read off the smallest line I could. She looked confused as she searched on the board for the row I read.

She looked at me, pointing to the board. I laughed and then proceeded to guide her to where I had read. When she noticed how far down the chart I had read, she said how perfectly amazing my vision was.

The Secret has already helped me in an abundance of ways, and I only just read the book two days ago. So, I would like to say thank you for The Secret.

As soon as we got there, the doctor called my nephew to let him know that he needed to get to the hospital and give them consent to disconnect his father from the ventilator. He looked at his mom and broke down, saying he did not want to make that call. We all prayed for a miracle. In the meantime, his other grandmother (the mother of his dad), his uncle, and his dad’s favorite niece were up at the hospital. They were waiting for my nephew to come because they did not want to be responsible for making that decision either. While they were waiting, the mother suggested to her granddaughter that she go over and say her last words to her favorite uncle, who had treated her like gold. Initially, she was reluctant. However, she did it, and it was as if she had become possessed.

At first, she was making small talk about how she was doing well in school, making good grades, and getting on the honor roll. Then she began to speak about what her uncle meant to her and how he had impacted not only her life but so many other people’s. The grandmother said, “I looked over there at her and thought, wow, she’s on a roll, she’s gonna talk him to death.”

Guess what? She did. Not long after she finished her conversation with her uncle, he slipped away peacefully.

God is so faithful. He had a “ram in the thicket.” He knew it would be too difficult for the family. It was as though he heard exactly what he needed to hear, to know that his work was done and that he had made the mark he needed for those he loved. Wow, what an awesome God to rescue them from such a difficult choice.

After his passing, the family came over to the house where we all were. Man, we had the most incredible time together. We walked through the process of what had taken place, only to realize that God knew the decision was too tough and the family was not prepared to do it. So, he used the power of love to change the circumstances. We were so grateful for this huge gift, one that kept everyone’s emotions intact. It was all so bittersweet, but it created a bond between all who were there that we will never forget and be forever grateful.

This belief in the love and accuracy of the Universe has grown exponentially. I am incredibly thankful for a process that, when followed correctly, can bring an endless abundance of whatever we believe in. Just set your best intentions, have faith that you will receive what you seek, and then let it go. Watch as the Universe works to align everything perfectly.

Recently, I was introduced to the law of attraction in a way that I had not previously considered. I have always believed in the power of positive thinking but didn’t practice it regularly.

My husband of 47 years passed away 8 months ago following a 6 month long stay in ICU following a double lung transplant and complications. Following his passing, I listened to The Secret, The Magic, and The Power. I was motivated to try what the books were teaching. I found that gratitude, positivity, faith, trust, and, most of all, love are keys to the law of attraction. I am grateful for receiving this knowledge and the inspiration to practice and strive for what I desire through meditation, positivity, sending love to the Universe, and believing in the magic that is in each of us.

On my journey, I have received many miracles. Two that I keep close to my heart are the following: One morning, during my meditation, I was feeling extremely emotional and tearful. I then realized that it was the 5 month anniversary of my husband’s passing. I cried and told him that I missed him and prayed that he recognized that I was striving to become a better mother, friend, and, in general, a better person. I asked that he be with me to guide and comfort me.

Part of my morning meditation is to read from Al Anon literature. The first reading on that morning was, “Be Still, and Know that I am with You!” I knew at that very moment that my husband was with me and that he had heard me. It was exactly what I had asked for. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The second miracle was answered in a dream. Again, during a morning meditation on the 7th month anniversary of my husband’s passing, I asked that he be with me, guide me, and comfort me. I needed to know that he knew that I loved him still and that he was pain free and happy. That night, he appeared in my dreams. He appeared to be almost glowing. He was youthful, smiling, and happy. He was wearing a red T-shirt. It was the first time that I was aware of him appearing in my dreams, and it was very vivid. I learned that the color “red” in dreams can indicate that you have strong feelings about something in your waking life; it can represent wisdom, anointing power, and new birth. It can signify strength and resilience and can symbolize energy, passion, strength, courage, physical activity, and creativity. Because the dream was positive, with no sense of danger or anger, the other “negative” meanings that can be associated with the red color in dreams didn’t hold. So, I was comforted knowing that my husband knew that I loved him and that he was at peace, happy, and pain-free.

I am so grateful for my wonderful life and for all the blessings that I have received throughout my life. I am thankful for the faith and trust that I have developed, and I am grateful for the love of family and friends who supported me and our daughter through my husband’s illness. Most of all, I am grateful for the love and life I shared with my once-in-a-lifetime soulmate, lover, and best friend. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am always trying to pet them after I give them a hazelnut. However, they often don’t want it, so they grab the hazelnut and run away quickly.

Yesterday I went to feed them again with my partner. It has been a while since we last visited here. I didn’t expect much difference from before. All I thought was that it was so nice to see them again, and they looked so happy and healthy. My partner was the primary source of hazelnuts because he carried more, and I was mainly filming when he fed them. There was one squirrel that always came to me and climbed on me. I felt a connection and naturally tried to pet it after giving her one hazelnut. She allowed it! She was even staying on my leg for more petting. I was so struck. But it also felt so natural. I almost couldn’t remember how bad I wanted it before and how impossible it had seemed.

To my surprise, when I later looked back at my bucket list diary, I realized that most of these things had actually come true, including receiving a new job offer with a salary higher than I had expected.

I also started a new business in mushroom farming, for which I received an award from the local government.

I have now moved to a new home, converted my current house into Mushroom Farm Unit 1, and acquired new agricultural land to expand the business.

Most importantly, I was also able to find a good life partner, just as I had visualized in my bucket list. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

For the past 10 years, I’ve felt like my life has been at a standstill while everyone else around me has been moving forward rapidly. My younger brother and close friends have bought homes, found love, traveled, and enjoyed financial abundance without struggle.

I’ve never had a significant other to share my life with, and I’ve constantly struggled to find housemates to help with rent while hopping from one temporary job to another. I haven’t had paid holidays or sick leave in years.

In April I experienced a series of setbacks. I turned 30, lost my job without notice, and had my housemate inform me that they were going to move out. Additionally, I ended a relationship with someone who was not treating me the way I deserved. I found myself in a financial mess with minimal savings.

On my 30th birthday, surrounded by close family and friends as I blew out the candles on my cake, I made a wish. I decided that I could either hit rock bottom or rise like a phoenix. I listened to The Secret and The Power on my iPod while I was out walking, and I read the books, including The Magic. I started to act, believe, and to receive. It is so true that thoughts become things!

The transformation in my life has been incredible. My mindset shifted from negative to extremely positive in all aspects of my life.

Within six months, I secured a permanent career at the Public Transport Authority, where I had previously been temping. I love my new career, the people, the benefits, and the amazing salary. I now have paid holidays and sick leave! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I also won a competition and received a $500,000 check! “The Secret” guided me to win this amount. With it, I bought a beautiful home in a great suburb. I am now mortgage-free, and living in my dream home without needing housemates to help cover the rent.

I also found the man of my dreams who loves me deeply. I have never felt so loved and in love before. He has asked me to move in with him, saying he can’t bear the thought of not waking up with me every morning!

We have travel plans for Japan with friends and a trip to Exmouth and Coral Bay in Western Australia to swim with whale sharks, all of which are on my bucket list, for early next year.

I started using the law of attraction consistently, visualizing myself as having 1 million followers. I believed in this so strongly that one day, I noticed there was rapid growth happening on my Instagram account. I went from 1,134 followers to 189,000 just two months later.

I imagined myself wearing it and how happy it would make me feel. Every night, I continued to check online to see if any shops in the UK had my size available.

The day before yesterday, while I was shopping at the supermarket, I noticed a lady outside the entrance asking for food. I immediately offered to buy her groceries, so we walked together inside the store. She chose potatoes, chicken, juice, water, and, to my surprise, some yogurts for her children. I did not ask her for any details, and when we finished shopping, I paid for her items. She was so grateful and happy for my help, and I felt a sense of joy knowing that I had been able to assist her in supporting her family.

Last night, I went back online to check for my favorite shirt one more time. To my surprise, I found that my size was available again! I purchased it immediately, and now I am eagerly awaiting its delivery. I was thrilled to finally buy my favorite shirt.
