Hello, my name is Bret. I live in Nanticoke, P.A. I had been searching for The Secret for a few good months now, and after reading the book, it has finally brought me to the state of mind that I had been dwelling on. Which, looking back now, truly puts The Secret into perspective. For how it already has effected my life, even before reading the book.

Another part of The Secret that I found to touch me before reading the book was the placebo effect. This started as far back as I can remember, when I was young, around the ages of 3 to 4. I was told I had a stigmatism in my left eye, so they put a patch on my eye. Then, they had me wear eyeglasses during my childhood. When I entered my teenage years, I started to distance myself from the idea that my eyes were bad. So, I started living as if I had a perfect vision. Every time my mother would get on me about wearing my contacts, I would respond by saying that I have perfect vision or that my eyes are better than ever.

I was 14 when I stopped thinking I had bad eyesight. As the years passed by, and through circumstances and a new thought process, everything started to fall into place. A few months ago, I found myself at a job, one that some would say was out of my league after I had received the job. They sent me for a physical to make sure I was up to par for the job and the duties I had to do. During the physical, they said I would need to take an eye exam. As I stood at the doorway, the nurse was at the end of the hall; She asked me to read the smallest row of letters I could see, so I scrolled down and read off the smallest line I could. She looked confused as she searched on the board for the row I read.

She looked at me, pointing to the board. I laughed and then proceeded to guide her to where I had read. When she noticed how far down the chart I had read, she said how perfectly amazing my vision was.

The Secret has already helped me in an abundance of ways, and I only just read the book two days ago. So, I would like to say thank you for The Secret.
