I started practicing gratitude and using The Secret Super App a few months ago. I had always known about The Secret but never really made an effort. This year I went through a lot and wasn’t in a good mood at all. One could say I had a streak of bad luck.

Ever since I started using the app and the law of attraction, things changed quite quickly in every possible way! I’m having a lucky break! That’s why I decided that I wanted to interact with the Universe a little more directly, and I asked for signs to know if I was going in the right direction. I thought of things that were hard to see around here because I wanted to make sure I didn’t manipulate fate. First I asked to see the word ‘Patagonia’, which I saw a few days later. Then I decided to ask for a four-leaf clover, which felt more difficult. I let it go and a few days later I found it printed on toilet paper at my friend’s house!

However, the sign that I received that shocked me was another one. I had been having an unexpected and passionate crush on someone and felt that he also was feeling an attraction to me as well. However, just when I felt all of this, I knew that we wouldn’t see each other for one and a half months because I would be traveling. So now I am abroad and I can’t stop thinking about him. I can’t find peace of mind. So I asked the Universe to let me see his name written or hear it at least if he reciprocated my feelings, and if we would be starting to date upon my return. I was really nervous about this. I couldn’t let it go and kept checking my social media to see if a name like his would pop up, even though we are not social media friends. The place I am at now is not frequently visited by Italians, so seeing or hearing his name felt hopeless.

Eventually, I opened Facebook and saw the first four letters of his name in a comment. So I clicked on it and read the whole thing. His name was there but I knew it wasn’t my sign. I had tried too hard. The very same day I saw his same tattoo on a girl standing in front of me. I knew it was a little hint from the Universe, but not my sign. I just wasn’t letting it go.

The day after that I made a decision: I asked again to show me or let me hear his name for the same reasons, in the next 48 hours. But this time I really let it go. I was committed to not using social media at all and not putting myself in situations where I thought it would be likely to see or hear my sign.

Twenty four hours later, I received it in the most unexpected way. I visited a museum with my mom. We chose to start our visit at a very random place and as soon as she saw the first work of art she said to me, “Look! These sculptures were made by Giacometti!” Something inside of me clicked. I thought to myself, an Italian artist?!? Let me see what his first name is! And there it was! Alberto. It was his name, my sign! Three rooms of the exhibition were dedicated to this guy’s work and he was the only Italian artist there. BTW, I didn’t even know that he existed, lol! The name Alberto was all around me on the works of art. I felt really, really happy! I thanked the Universe so much for this! This was a very unexpected way of receiving a sign!
