In 2019 my husband and I relocated from Denver Colorado to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We both found employment and in May of 2023 were able to purchase a modest home in a safe neighborhood. My husband became ill, had two heart attacks, and died in the hospital. In only 8 days I went from wife to a widow in September 2023. I had been dealt a harsh blow. His sudden death shook me to the core. He was only 56 years old.

This evening I saw the broadcast of The Secret from 2006 explaining the law of attraction and how your mind shapes what you perceive. This is what I needed to hear at exactly the right time in my life. I’m so blessed and grateful for the marriage we shared but now I have to go on. I’ve joined a gym for health and weight loss to control my diabetes and high blood pressure. I have paid off all of the auto loan and credit cards and hospital bills. In May I will be 60 but I never imagined I would be a widow. Because I saw The Secret broadcast tonight I realize that I have the power to shape my destiny and that my positive thoughts can create my own happiness. Without my husband I will learn to live a meaningful life full of love, joy, romance and happiness. By changing my thinking I refuse to be a victim of circumstance. My faith in God, gratitude and the ability to visualize a long, healthy, happy life will make me a success! Who knows? Perhaps another man will enter my life? My life is so exciting I can hardly wait to begin my new chapter!
