In 1976, I was in junior high, living in a small cow town in Arizona after moving from Fort Worth, Texas. I had a few friends from grade school, but one day, I vividly remember standing in front of the school one morning and glancing across the street. I saw Jim W, this new guy from another small town, and my heart told me that he was the one! I was only 14 at the time, so I couldn’t believe it, but the more I saw him, the more I knew. We had the same circle of friends throughout high school, but he never asked me out. I did not tell my close friends too much about it because, in high school, girls can be mean and go after the guys you like.

Years passed by, and I would occasionally run into him, and I still knew, even after I got married and had two kids. A friend had invited us both to a wedding and my husband at the time did not want to go to the small town for the wedding. We were having problems, so I went alone. When I got to the house I was staying at, there he was! I was so excited, especially since I had daydreamed about us meeting up and it being so magical. And it really was!

We talked, and he asked me, “Are you happy?” I said no. I went back to Phoenix, he went to Tucson, and one year later, he moved into my apartment that I had since moved into after moving out from my home. We ended up getting married, just like my fantasy, and it’s still true today. He is my prince, and I have loved him since I was 14. The law of attraction worked!
