Sussex, EnglandI'm a creative, mother and wife. We have our own business and I'm working on setting another up. I love singing, gardening, pottery and all sorts of things.
I was reading a few pages of The Secret this morning whilst having a coffee in town. A thought crossed my mind about a book I wanted. This author had published two books that I was interested in reading. I put my attention on it lightly for a moment and then went back to reading The Secret.
Soon after that, I had a strong urge to pop into town to a charity shop thrift store to have a look for some particular books for my husband. Once I was there, I started scanning the shelves very quickly for the books I had thought of. But then I had a strong internal push to read each title slowly and carefully and to start reading again from the top left of the row.
Two or three books in, pushed towards the back of the shelf so you could barely see it, there was the second book from the author I was very interested in reading. I got it down immediately and was delighted to see it was a bargain at 50p and looked new, as though it had been bought, sat on someone’s shelf for some time, and then donated. I generally prefer new books that no one else has read.
I smiled, giggled quietly, and bounced a little with excitement, realizing that my light thought had instantly translated to me being pushed to the shop and bookshelf location to find what I wanted.
I love this kind of thing. It feels very in tune with who we all are as people.
