Last year, around March, my boss quit. It was a blessing, as he was a horrible boss. He was humiliating, sexist, and downright stupid. I was made to feel embarrassed and humiliated on a daily basis. It was terrible. When he left, he left a huge mess for me to clean up, and I just couldn’t believe it. So, I decided to attract the kind of boss I wanted because I would work closely with that person on a daily basis. We had to be a team.

I wrote down all the qualities I was looking for in a new boss: leadership, fairness, creativity, kindness, support, and a raise, among others. I had it taped on my bathroom mirror, where I would look at it every morning when I brushed my teeth and every night before I went to bed. Three months later, in May, I met my new boss and he was fabulous! He was funny, creative, supportive, and, most of all, he recognized how smart I was and never humiliated me. I got a $3,500 raise three months after he started.

I believe I attracted him into my life. Although he only stayed for ten months, it was the best ten months at my job. He was the best boss I had in 20 years. Thank you, Universe! I believe in the law of attraction, and it really worked.
