Confident, No Confidence, Then Confident Again.

NepalI am Khushi from Nepal, currently studying high school in a science faculty. I love to eat, read books, compose songs, and write crazy thoughts that arise within me when I have a lot of free time.
Hello, I am from a village where I was at the top of my class. I used to be confident enough to anchor programs, sing songs at assemblies, motivate other students in their studies, and be a good leader. However, when I went to the city for my higher education, I suddenly lost all my confidence. I could not even raise my hand in class even to just ask questions because I was too nervous. This went on for days, and I still had not recovered from it.
Then, one day, my classmate Ayusha took the same bus as I did to visit her aunt. We ended up sitting in the doorway since there were no available seats. As we sat there, I enjoyed the view and the conversation with her as if there was no tomorrow. I know I might sound a bit odd, but for a long time, I avoided licking my lips out of fear that my dimples would show. This time, though, I did not even care about that; I did whatever I wanted to do.
From that day on, I had regained my confidence. I was able to do many things that I had previously been too afraid to attempt. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I learned an important lesson: no one really cares about what you do; it is only you who makes those assumptions. So, do not let those nonexistent fears hold you back from pursuing the things you want to do.
