I have an example of how The Secret works. Actually, I will say I have many examples and will post them at a later date. For now, I will tell you this story.

I ordered some specially made earrings for my new job. They had our company logo on them. I didn’t know if I would wear them at our conference or at meetings, but I was excited about my new job and wanted to do something special. I wondered if I was being silly. The earrings came in. They looked good. Yet, I was not sure if I was overstepping. So I let them be.

Now, our summer conference is next week. I took out the earrings and thought, well, they do look good. I texted a picture to my boss. I wanted to see what she thought. Her response was, “Did you order them for all of us?” Oh my!! The cost would be about $300 US dollars. I told her no, not yet. I felt so bad. I am not someone who would intentionally leave others out, so I felt so awkward. I texted and asked her to let me know if I should order them for everyone. She did not respond at all. I was so sad.

I was thinking I was selfish, overexcited, and anxious to please in my new job. I didn’t sleep well and didn’t know if I should pay money out of my own pocket to buy earrings for everyone. I said my prayers and asked God to fix it. I truly believed it would be done. I let it go. I believed. I went to sleep.

Tonight, I asked my boss by text if I should order them for all of us, and she responded yes!! Go for it!! I ordered the earrings for all of us and received a 20% discount and express shipping at no cost! I was amazed and truly grateful. I can expense this and surprise my coworkers with this gift for our conference next week.
