You Get What You Expect.

Somewhere in the world.I am a university student who studies international politics.
First, I’d like to thank Rhonda for her great story. My story is about how The Secret and The Magic changed my life.
I read “The Secret” a long time ago, but I don’t remember exactly when. I think it was about four years ago or even before that. When I first read The Secret, it seemed like just another self-help book talking about visualization. I used the visualization technique and “The Secret” to try to get into my dream university, Columbia, but it didn’t work. After that, I became very cynical about “The Secret” and stopped believing in it.
It was only recently, this year, that I discovered what I did wrong and finally accepted that “The Secret” actually worked. When I applied to Columbia, I was very doubtful about whether I would get in. Furthermore, I talked about these doubts very loudly to all my friends because I felt like I wasn’t enough, and I did not deserve to get into there. So when I told my friends, I was like .”Yes, I did apply to Columbia, but I’m not sure I will get in.”
Also, when I got accepted to NYU, I really wanted to go, but I talked aloud about how New York City is so expensive to live in, so I could never go there. And those doubts and complaints became real. Although I did use the visualization technique, I thought that what I was asking for was a very, very hard thing to attract, and my doubts clouded my way.
I ended up going to the university I hated, which was neither NYU nor Columbia, and complained so much about it for a year. So, I decided to transfer and got accepted to another university. I was also afraid this time that my financial situation might hinder me.
This time, I acted differently. I was determined to start my new semester at a new university. I informed everyone around me about my decision and began having farewell parties. As I prepared to leave, I started noticing more positive aspects of my current university and stopped complaining. I assumed that I would be transferring and organized my schedule accordingly. Eventually, my financial situation improved, and I was able to transfer to another university, which I ended up loving.
Over the summer, I reread Rhonda’s books and realized that I unintentionally used the principles of The Secret to transfer to a different university. I followed the three steps of “Ask, Believe, and Receive,” with the crucial step being the third one. I acted as though my desire to attend a different university was already happening. I told everyone about my plans to move and even booked a ticket there. Although I had some doubts, I made a conscious effort to clear them away and acted with unwavering belief that I would achieve my goal. Ultimately, I received good financial aid and was able to start my new semester at the university of my choice. Rereading The Secret, the part about aligning your actions with your desires really resonated with me.
I have had numerous experiences where I used The Secret to manifest my desires. For example, last spring, I wanted to travel to Dubai during spring break. However, in the country where I study, an exit permit is required to leave. I applied for the exit permit a bit late, and by the third day of spring break, I still hadn’t received it. Despite visiting the office multiple times, it was either empty or I was asked to wait. On the third day, I decided to act with conviction and began preparing as if I were leaving the next day. I packed my bags and booked a hotel and a flight ticket. I even cleaned my room and informed all my friends about my upcoming trip to Dubai. When I visited the office again, my exit permit was miraculously ready. This experience once again reinforced my belief that by acting as if what you want is already happening, you can manifest your desires.
The same thing happened when I wanted to get an internship in Hong Kong. So now, I’m very convinced that you get what you expect. Every time I ask for something, visualize it and act as though what I ask for is happening, I get it. I’m going to use this technique to get into law school and achieve other things I want in my life.
This summer, I started using The Magic and it has tremendously changed my life. I began using The Magic to improve my relationship with my family. Every day, I wrote down five things that I appreciate about my father, mother, and brother. Now, we have a wonderful relationship, and I truly enjoy spending time with my family. I also started writing down things that I love about my body and my appearance, and I have become more confident and beautiful than ever. Before reading The Magic, my love life and relationships with men were painful, and I even reached a point where I started to hate men. However, after reading The Magic, I began writing about what I appreciate and am grateful for in my relationships with men. My love life and dating experiences have completely changed. I chose to focus on the positive aspects of my relationships and ignored the parts I did not like. Whenever I had a good time while dating or spending time with male friends, I wrote it down and expressed my gratitude to the Universe. Now, whenever I have a date, I have a wonderful time.
I have come to realize that the best way to overcome the negative aspects of my life is to choose not to dwell on them. Instead, I focus on ignoring the bad and paying attention to the good things. The more I express gratitude and appreciation for the positive aspects of my life, the more good things come my way. Rather than focusing on the parts of my body that I do not like, I direct my attention to the parts that I do like. I no longer say that I want to lose all the fat; instead, I affirm how much I love my slim, and fit body, and I express appreciation for it. I act as if I have already achieved my goal and feel happy about it. This mindset has made it much easier for me to maintain my fitness and slim figure.
Thank you so very much for The Secret and the law of attraction. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
