In 2019, I was preparing for a competitive exam that I had previously failed. One day, I wrote “UGC NET 2019”, which is the name of the exam and the year I wanted to qualify for it, on my hostel wall. After writing it, I started studying rigorously. However, I began to lose faith after taking the exam because I thought that it did not go well, and the circumstances leading up to it were not in my favor at all.

In my frustration, I deleted all the motivational videos from my phone, unsubscribed from all the channels that had helped me, and broke down completely.

But then, one day my mother said to me, “What if it all works out the way you planned?” Two days later, the UGC NET results were declared. I did not want to check the results, so I procrastinated for four hours. Finally, mustering the courage, I opened my results on my computer and was astounded to find out that I had qualified for the exam! And guess the date! It was December 31, 2019!
